Eagle Wallet
Say Goodbye To Your School ID Card
About The Project
Under-graduate Capstone Project
Eagle Wallet is a senior design capstone project. The goal of Eagle Wallet was to allow students to use their phones to replace their Student ID for making meal plan purchases. The concept was inspired during the Covid-19 pandemic to reduce human contact and increase in touchless technology.
The Need
The COVID-19 pandemic has pushed the world towards contactless technology. With the increase of these tech innovations the advantages have become clear. Using a smart phone to pay for items is convenient and efficient. The “Eagle Wallet” Android application utilizes Radio Frequency ID (RFID)/Near Field Communications (NFC) technology so students, faculty, and staff can use their smart phone to pay for meals

My Responsibilities
I was responsible for managing and maintaining the version control of the app through GitHub during the incremental merging processes for every Sprint delivery. I was also responsible for implementing the UI in Android Studio and coordinating with other team members with the different APIs for transactions.
The Solution
The application was designed in Android Studio and allowed school meal plan payment transactions to occur through NFC/RFID technology. The application used AWS to allow for an email verification process. In addition to, all user "dummy" data was stored in a local server encrypted with hashing transactions.
